The first teaser for ROOT: Node City.

Node City, 2061. Every arrival gets a system name instead of a welcome. You get a room at a hostel in the pines, and the previous tenant's things are still in it: he ran off owing two weeks' rent and left a laptop's worth of traces behind.

You're not the only one reading them.

That's the whole idea of the game: you learn the real Linux terminal by living in a city that runs on one OS. Every quest is a small puzzle solved with real commands — ls, grep, find, man, pipes and more. No lectures. The skills are real. The city is not. Mostly.
